I have completed my interview and oath yesterday at Tuckwila, WA office - employment based. This forum was very helpful and special thanks to all of you, those who are contributing through your inputs/guidance for lots of our folks queires here very regularly... on special notes - Bobsmyth, Jackolantern, Al Southner & few more ...thank you all.

The IO was very professional.

First came the swearing in, which I did, and then he asked me whether to start with test or application, I smiled at him and politly said with test... he replied me back good..let us start with test... we started with the test (Civics 6 questions + reading + writing).

I saw my A-file on the desk, lots of memories there. Time surely flies. The questions were the usual ones for this month:

1. What did the Declaration of Independence do?
2. Name one branch or part of the government.
3. We elect a U.S. Senator for how many years?
4. If both the President and the Vice President can no longer serve, who becomes President?
5. What does the President’s Cabinet do?
6. How many justices are on the Supreme Court?

I was asked to read "who lives in the white house and asked to write the response to the Question - I wrote as" The President lives in the white house"

Then the IO - told me as I scored full marks in the tests :). (kind of happy & recalled my school days moments :).

Then I was asked to signed on the front of my pictures

Then we went thru my passport, GC & driviers license. Then he started looking at the N-400. I was asked if I would like to change my name and I responded No.

Then, while he was going over the form 400, he reconfirmed me the information provided with height, address, and current employment and the long list of questions (yes/no) related to last 3 pagaes of the application. I never reveived speed ticket in my 10 years of driving, no tax dues etc. my application was very sraight foward.

After we finished I signed the N-400 in two places, and he gave me the N-652... and congradualted me and given me a blue slip with oath ceremony at 2pm (checked in time at 1pm) on the same day! ( i was really surprised and thanked him)

We chatted a bit about my work and he advised me to travel to Canada :). I shook his hand and he showed me out.

for Oath ceremony - back from my lunch at 1 pm at the building - they collected back our GC and blue note given by the IO for oath ceremony invitation.

We were directed to sit in a hall - around 60 immigrants took citizenship from different countries. Very touching moment...when two millitary men from dififernt countries - served in US miliatry took the oath.

There was a Small speech by the directors of the office, and they showed the video clips about US with beautiful song, speech by President and pledge.

WE took pledge and they played the national anthem - again a warm congratulations and welcome message by the officials.

WISH YOU ALL THE BEST!

Congratulations! and thanks for sharing the N-400 interview experience at Tukwila, Seattle DO.
I was nice to hear that Tukwila administers the oath same day as the interview.
Hopefully, we get a similar IO for our interview coming up in a few weeks.:)

Just curious ... haven't you received your IL yet?
Thanks,

Thanks for asking, as I have been wondering why I have not received it yet?

There was a LUD update on Oct 27, three days after the first LUD but no IL yet!!

This is bizarre to say the least! Has anyone in this forum had a similar experience?

Perhaps, I need to call USCIS just in case the IL got lost in the mail...

Hi Free,

As my signature indicates, it took 4 days to receive IL, after the last LUD on my case.

The last update was about the case send for interview on 10/24.
No other updates after that.

You might want to find out what was your last LUD for?

Thank you all for your wishes!....

I have applied for PP and PP card on Nov 17... the online status shows 4 to 6 weeks processing time.

Wish you all the best!
