some of the good and bad points
1. even thoguh website says otherwise , do photos without glasses, mr photo close by
2.go totally prepared but i only showed my approval notice and marriage certificate for my wife ( VO teased me and asked about my marriage date), took two minutes
3. they did not follow appt time , waited 1-2 hours in the room and kept hearing stories people make to get visa, lots of people got visa and a lot were refused for different reasons
4. nice indian restaurent near embassy
5. plus point, weather great , did snorkelling in deep sea with sharks close by , no kidding ( STUART COVE ) , jet sking, view great from wyndham , had casino, flight from miami only one hour but small plane
6. immigration at bahamas only , so none at POE in US
7. people by and large very friendly and nice , reminds you of India , left side drive
8. use buses cost $1 anywhere
9. think its okay for h1b extension, not sure if first time applicant okay

Hello, was your extension stamping with the same employer or was it with a new employer but on the same Visa class (previous H1 with old employer) ?

please advise

This would not be first tike H1-B but first stamping with the new employer

Revalidating expired H1b in Bahamas

Hi

I am planning to go The Bahamas for revalidation and stamping with my spouse and children (US Citizens). My current H1b and I-94 expired Mid March. Does anyone know if the US embassy in Bahamas will revalidate based on Approved I-797?. When I was trying to get information on how to apply for Bahamas visitors visa on the link (http://www.un.int/bahamas/Foreign_Nationals_Working_In_The_US.htm), it said
'Persons holding expired H1 B visas must apply to a US Embassy to obtain a new H1 B visa once they have left the US to visit any country other than Canada and Mexico. This application cannot be done at the US Embassy in The Bahamas.'
What does this mean?

Secondly, anyone got the visitors visa by mail - what embassy to mail to - NY or FL? what form to use? I found this one (http://www.un.int/bahamas/visa app.pdf) but does not look like an official form
