Successful H1 visa stamping in Chennai

Hello Everybody

I got my visa stamped in Chennai on May 4th.

Time 12.00 - 12.15 PM.

There was a lot of people so I had to wait for some time before being interviewed.

VO: Hello Sir How are u? Please give me your file.
ME: Handed it over
VO: So can you tell me your qualifications
ME: I have a MS in Comp Science from U.S.A and B.E Comp Sci from India.
VO: When did you complete your MS?
ME: Dec 2003
VO: When did you start working here:
ME: May 2004.
VO: Please show me W2 for 2004.
ME:Handed it over
VO: Looked at the salary specified in the application
VO: Give me your recent paystub and your MS certificate.
ME:Handed it over
VO: Can you tell me briefly about the job description:
ME: Blah.. Blah..
VO: How many employees in your company and whats the Revenue?
ME: XX XX
VO: Go and pay your fee.
ME:Thank you

On the whole it was just 5 minutes but he took a lot of time browsing thru the documents. I did not see a lot of applicants for H1 B. Just take all the documents and everything should be fine.

Congratulations! It seems your's was a revalidation case. How come you pay the fees after the interview? I thought it went out with the drop box scenario. I had to pay all my fees in advance after the interview confirmation (visa fees, issuance fees and courier charges). BTW, mine was a 7th year extension.
