Hi All,
I have successfull stamping at Nogales consulate in Mexico. It was very easy and I did not have any problem in getting stamped. Here are some details.

I was getting my visa from F1 to H1.

Following documents I had with me (some were extra incase needed)
-DS 156, 157, 158 (please fillup 158 and take with you, they do ask in nogales)
- Passport I-94 and 2 copies of passportsize photo.
- Banamax bank receipt ( I got this draft from Mr. Mark Lehmann from www.mexico-assistance.com and he was very helpful , he charged 50-60 $ for that but u will get ur draft next day. please visit his site and call him , he will surely reply)
- I-797 , LCA, Company letter stating that u r fulltime, company offer letter given to u when u joined the company
- Company brochure or company profile documents
- Recent paychecks, I suggest you get you all paystubs for current year.
- All I-20s, EAD, Masters and Beachelors Degree certificates
- Resume (Please take it with you, they do ask for that.)
- Past 6 months bank statemnets.
- All extra certificated that you have

I went Nogales,AZ from Phoenix on sunday evening, and it is 3 hours drice from Phoenix,
I stayed at Best Western on Grand Avenue, its the best place to stay because owner of the motel , Manu bhai are very nice person, he will allow to print anything from his computer if you forget something. Also you have free wireless internet, fax facilities there. He will also tell you where you can park your car and very helpful person. I recommand that you stay there.

- We started around 7:15 or so, we were around 5-6 guys and 1 family with kids.
- You can park the car near border or near macdonalds near the border, normally they charg 4-5$ for that and its very safe.
- You can just walk across the border and enter into Mexico, you will see familier environment , just like India.
- You can go on right hand side streets and then look for the taxi, ppl know very little english so you may have to struggle little bit.
- They normally charge you 6-8$ to US embassy. we riched there aroud 7:40
- After you go there then in line, one lady asked about the forms, and she checked the appointment and our names, and she told us to go in front of the line.
- We entered in embassy arround 8 and then u stand in line, a person will call u and check all the documents and then u seat and wait for your biomatrics, fingerprints and photos.
- After you are done with that u will be seating and waiting for your interview call.
- Once you are called for an interview they will ask you some questions and if everything goes well then you will have to go to pay 50$ fees
- I was not asked much, just following questions
- All the forms, passport, I797 and company letter
Q. Can I have Your resume please
A. I handed over the resume. The lady just put it with my forms.

Q. Where is your client and what do u do?
A. Location and client name, and work that I do in just one line.

Q. Is there any secret things that u work on? (she just smiled and asked.)
A. no, not at all.

Q. Your current address ?
A. I told her my address,

Q. R U planning to go to India ?
A. Yes, most prob.

She just told that , she is granting me the visa and you can pay the fees and collect my passport at 3 PM.

It was just 2 min. interview. I was out of the building by 9:15

- Then we 6-7 guys went to the pizza place, just 10 min. walk from the embassy, called Peter pizza or something like that. Which opens at 11 PM.
- We ate there and sat till 2:15 then walked to the embassy, stood in line till 3 and then they started calling us inside.
- Got my passport and was out of the building around 4.
- Got the taxi (7$) went to border and then over there you can walk and enter into the building and then , the officer checked our passport.
- Then he took us upstairs to get the I-94 and 6$ fees for that. It tool around 30-40 min.
- I was inside US by 5:15.

Cell phones work near the border so don't neet to worry.Only problem is very few people know english.

So it went very smoothly and most of us got the visa very easily without any problem

We met one guys who had some check and was there since last 2 weeks. Also 1 guy and a girl had some problem and they also had some check so they were told to stay for 3 weeks.

So was back in phoenix by 8:30 in the night.

So that went very well for me. Please let me know if anyone has any question.

Thanks to all who helped me and thanks to this forum which is a great help.

Thanks,
Darshan.
