Guys, we completed CP @ Montréal successfully on 01/11/2002 (Friday). There were about a dozen other interviewees that day. The process was quite smooth and took us about 2hrs 30mins from the time we entered from security to the time we got the cell phone back that security guys retained.
Here\'s the brief overview:
1. Paid $260 IV application fees.
2. Submitted birth, police, and marriage certificates with the employment letter & medicals.
3. Took oath and were briefly interviewed (about 6-7 minutes). Questions asked: \'What do you work as at your company?\'; \'Have you worked for any other company?\'; \'When did you get married?\'; To my spouse: \'Have you lived in US before?\'; \'What are you going to do once you start to live in US?\'. Then we were told that your visa is approved and we got all our originals back except for the police certificates & medicals. Got the feeling that the lady just wanted to see our faces and interview was just a formality.
4. Paid $65 IV processing fees.
5. Got the sealed envelopes for border crossing.
Later that day we crossed the border and got I-551 stamped on the passport. That took us about 15 minutes. And YES, we got our ceremonial welcome to the USA.
It was a lot less stressful than we thought.
