Just wanted to let you all know that I have been granted the Immigrant visa!! I will post experience in detail next week but basically the way I view the interview process - it is basically a mere formality.
Our interview lasted for less than 5 mins. We were asked to give our finger prints by the American lady officer as soon as we entered the interview booth. Some basic questions asked: where do you work? what do you do? how long have you been married? what did you do before this job? where were you working before the current job? Also we were asked to sign the DS230 part II and take oath. Before the interview we were called to submit all docs at a seperate counter. Docs were collected by another indian guy. After the interview we were asked to collect passport and the two big brown envelopes at 3.30pm which we did. So to all of you who are waiting their turns for the interview - chill out! It is as I said a mere formality to appear for the interview and get your Immigrant visa.
