Successful CP in New Delhi on 18th January

Folks,

My wife and I had a successful CP in New Delhi. We were originally scheduled for January 22nd, but the day before I went to the US Embassy and requested to come early. They agred.

A few key points:
- Arrived in Delhi on January 16/17 night.
- Medical exam, pictures etc done on Jan 17th at K.P. Jain and Kumar Studio.
- Visited embassy on Jan 17 to make sure all info was there and requested preponement.
- Went for the interview at 8:00 AM on 1/18, experience similar to most others. No problem with the PC. The US PCC was enought from CGNY. Payment made in Travelers Checks. Can pay USD banknotes as well.
- Received the immigrant visa packets around 5:00 PM.

Will provide a detailed experience later.

also can you please reaffirm that Delhi consulate accpepts fees in Travellers Checks (say for E.g. Amex TC)...

If not did you have Nonavailability certificate
 
Fees in USD TC and Banknotes (i.e. bills/currency) - Yes

Thanks Harry for your best wishes. Also the US Consulate does accept USD Traveler Checks and currency.
