All:
My in-laws were able to procure their B2 visa successfully during their interview at Chennai successfully. They're in their low 70's, I had fixed their interview in July for October. I had requested a Malayalam translator. They had waited for about 4 hrs but due to unavailability of a Malayalam translator, my father-in-law had stated that he's fluent in English. The consular acknowledged and asked the following questions:
1. What's the turnover of your business?
2. Does your daughter work?
3. How long would you like to visit the US?
He approved and asked them when are they planning to visit here. Since their response was sometime in December, he asked them to take warm clothes. They were apparently very helpful to the elderly.
They received their visas by courier yesterday.
All's well that ends well. Good luck to you all.
