Succesful H4 to H1 stamping doctor - Vancouver

Hello all, I had a successful H4 to H1 visa stamping. I am doctor

VO :asked about my medical licenses in USA. Thats the list of USMLE exams that I completed.
Me: Showed all my transcripts

VOo you wish to do fellowship in future?
Me: Said yes

VO: Asked which hospital I am doing residency
Me: Replied

VO: Asked about my specialization
Me: Replied

VO: Asked about my 1 year old daughter, as to who is taking care of her?
Me: Replied

Thats it asked me to collect the passport tomorrow at 3:00pm. This is my first H1 visa stamping and I was on my H4, I went to visa interview with my 1 year old daughter.


Another person H4 to H1: This person is an engineer, did her engineering from India, she was screwed with lot of questions, the VO also told why she was not going INDIA for visa stamping, but fortunately her husband was also with her, she told that she accompained her husband for the vancouver trip and also showed her evaluation certificate. I was hearing entire conversation. I can say one thing that if you are an engineering and coming for the first time, there might be a possiblity that you may be sent back to your home country.

Since I will be travelling for the next 3 weeks. I will be more than happy to answer you questions after I come back. All the best

---- Based on ur posting, i believe that H4-H1 candidate (with engg background) was given the H1 stamping. can u plz clarify whether she was given her visa or was she asked to go back to her home country?

---- Did u file I-824 before going to vancouver or did u ve ur I-94 attached to ur approval notice?
