Submitted n-400, typed wrong SS No

I am resident of NJ, I applied for N-400 about 4 weeks ago, and last week got the finger prints done also.
Last night I was looking at the copy of form again and realized I had typed incorrect SS #, instead of 08 I typed in 03.
At this point I really do not want any delays in term of background checks.

Should I send a letter explaining the mistake to Vermont service center.
Any advise would be appreciated.

did you wrote your A# correct? if yes then you can correct SSN at the time of Interview
