submit a new 485 with CSC while keeping the one pending with TSC

My wife and I submitted 485 applications sponsored by her company to TSC in May. My wife was laid off in June. Now that my 140 was approved by CSC, we are thinking whether we need to cencel our TSC 485 applications and apply again in CSC. My question is: Can we submit new 485s with CSC and still keep the old ones in TSC? How can INS find out about this, since we are going to assigned different A numbers for the new 485 applications?

You cannot have two applications going on simultaneously.
File for a new application with you as the primary, and
in the meantime, write to NSC to cancel the existing
application.
