Stupid NCSC

Just called them and told them that the receipt indicates processing between 365 - 540 days. My RD is 1/31 and it has been over 540 days.

She said, now it is taking 19 months and if you don't hear from us by Oct, give us a call back.

I told her, 19 months from Jan-2002 is Aug-2002....she counted several times and kept insisting that it is Oct 2003 when 19 months will complete.

Then I asked her, if my case has been assigned to an officer. She said yes, otherwise I would have done my fingerprinting! Duh....

Why do they even have this phone number?????? They can just hire some parrots.

The current BCIS setup under the famed DHS is nothing but a big JOKE! They have totally removed accountability under the guise of national security. The NCSC is adding insult to injury by their supposedly improved customer service!

RajeshJ,
Did u do ur FP1 in Mar2002..!
These days they say 19months from FP1...
Mar2002+19mos=Oct2003
[My friend got the answer as this way...He did his FP1 in Mar2002 and was asked to call back Oct03]
Hope this atleast 'clears' what they meant..!
Good Luck..

They are still sending out second FP for 15 months expiration, yet they say 19 months? that's so confusing

WheresMahGreen, I completely agree with you. I think the message is very clear - "we don't care." Immigration has the least priority.

vijayrc, I did my FP in April. However, she kept insisting that from Jan 2002 if you add 19 months it will be Oct 2003. I am sure (to cut cost) they have hired burger flippers as CSRs!

Yes, those phone representatives don't understand the 15 month thing, they only know processing time is 19 months. Pitty on BCIS.
Hire low IQ and drunk employees

I don't think calling NCSC will trigger local transfer. Depending on the case they will transfer the case. This is only my personal opinion.
