Studying using EAD

Hello.
My wife has an EAD/AP and she plans to take some courses in a community college.
She called the registrar today and the registrar informed that she would not be able to study there based on an Employment Authorization Document..
Is there any validity to this? Or is it just that this particular college is paranoid?
Any experience, please advise...

I did study using EAD.
What the heck this registrar is talking about?
Absolutely bullshit. talk to your attorney. there is no such law which can prohibit EAD's to study further.
File a lawsuit if your attorney does not help.
