Studying on H-1

Hi,

I am currently on H-1 and plan to do M.S. taking 3 courses (half-time) per sem. My company might agree flexi-time at the same pay, or could accept a slight paycut and some hrs cut (with mutual consent) without going part-time H-1. Are all these legal, especially with new INS tracking? Is it a tricky issue to get lawyer assistance?

No trick in approaching a lawyer..

However, any significant cutbacks in working hours have to be justified by a H1 amendment.

thanks for the reply. what I meant was that whether this is a tricky issue enough to seek lawyer assistance. If it is all above board and don\'t need any documents to be submitted, lawyer help may not be needed. I am not planning a significant cut in hrs, probably to just 30 or 35 hrs in terms of pay adjustment.

Study part-time

I am finishing my Master in Software Engineer. I took two or one class every semester and work full time as stipulated in the H1 visa
