Study on basis of H4

I am having H1B visa and my wife is in US on H4 visa.

The question is:

1. Can a person on H4 visa, study in US or not. If not, what is the process so that one can study in US.

2. By profession my wife is Doctor and she wants to practice in US. What is the process so that she can start practice or how can the H4 visa be converted into the working visa.

Some universities allow you to do distance education (DE - entirely online) without a F1 visa.
Some don't require F1 but can get you one if you want - downside is you have to apply atleast 4-6 months before your intended start date.

I know courses like MS, MBA etc are available online but I don't have a clue reg medicine.

Best would be call some medical schools.

You can study on H-4 Visa.

She can study with H4 any course. (Medicine not possible even with a F1)
2. By profession my wife is Doctor and she wants to practice in US. What is the process so that she can start practice or how can the H4 visa be converted into the working visa.

To practice as doctor she has to write Part I & II USMILE exams (with recognized foreign degree) and get very good score above 90% to get residency. Residency is 3 years. Total 6 Years to complete all these formaliteis before even thinking of any practice.
