studies on h1/h4

Hi Gurus,

I would like to know if its okey to take some courses at community college. I am taking a course this summer just for knowledge purpose. I am on h1 . my wife is also taking 2 courses at community college. I would like to know your opinion. THanks.

It is perfectly OK to study on H1 or H4. I got my Masters 1 year after my H1. My wife is taking classes too and there have been no problem at all.
 
If you are on H status then you would not be eligible for any aid from the college in liue of your service to college (read TA, RA, etc.)
