Stuck in background check

I am submitting this message in the hope that some one will be able to guide me in the right direction.
briefly my case is described below
=> july last year - gc interview with spouse
=> We answered all questions correctly
=> office said that everything was good and I should hear in 2 weeks.
=> After almost 5 infopasses so far, no news yet abt when i will get my GC
=> I have tried congressman - no help
=> They say that the background check is in progress
=> I have no criminal record or dui or dwi

i have tried local attorney's but nothing has transpired out of it yet. Mandamus is something that I am scared of doing.

Please guide me.
 
I'm in the same boat. No updates since the interview 7 months ago. I tried contacting my senator and they were very helpful but they only received a generic letter from uscis stating that my case is under review.
It's frustrating. Good luck.
 
Do you have any news Dallas uscis?
I just received an email from uscis, card production ordered.
It's been a year and half since my interview.
I just wanted to give hope to those who are still waiting. I still find it hard to believe. At least until gc is in my hands.
