Strange things about RFE

Both AVM and online system say that at January 2nd, they mailed a RFE for me and my wife. My attorney got her RFE a couple of days ago. That is for vaccination, but mine has not arrived yet. I called INS yesterday. A lady officer explained it as: sometime the officer may make mistakes that there is just one RFE for my wife, but they put the RFE message for both me and my wife. Anyway, she asked me to call back if I do not get it in the next five days. I am not sure how truthful this explanation can be? Do you have any experience of this? By the way, I am the primary.

IIO also said that these kind of stuff happens a lot of time. You know their words are less trustful than the post here.

Next time let your attorney talk to the IIO and find out. Hope what IIO told you is right.

Best wishes,

Jigesh

Bearx, I agree with you - just call IIO once again and in all probability you will get to speak to a different IIO - be upfront with the IIO about your concerns.

Bearx, I would appreciate some answers:

Did you know that your wife had a vaccination missing in her medical- ie were you expecting such an RFE? The reason is that my wife is traveling to India for 2 months and if such an RFE comes for her she may have to return much sooner. Secondly, how much time did they give you to respond to the RFE?

thanks

It is hard to say we expect a RFE for the vaccination. My wife was pregnant last year during medical examination. The doctor played the game with us. He said that he has the authority to waive the shots due to the situation. We questioned him if we will get RFE from INS for this issue in the future. He did not give us a solid answer. Check your copy of I-693 supplement form. If your wife NO4 box is checked, she may get one. The allowable time is from January 2 nd to March 24th.

Bearx and others

thanks:

I checked my wife and my I-693 Supp. The box that is checked says
"Applicant may be given blanket waiver as indicated as above"

When I look above at the details, it shows all the vaccinations have been taken except Tetanus where he writes "Due to shortage, Tetanus not given".

Do you think it may cause RFE for Tetanus?

thanks for your inputs,

I think it maybe fine. Td was due to national shortage last year. Only Td, MMR and varicella are required. If you developed chicken pox or took the vaccine during your childhood, most of us did. You will not need varicella. I think you probably OK.

Bearx, Same thing happen

Both of us, me and my husband have the same message Online and on AVM. RFE letter came to my husband and I didn't receive anything in the mail. We just asked our lawyer to call the INS. But no respond yet from them. I didn't try to call the INS by myself. So we didn't know yet.

same answer from IIO

Even in our case, online message says there was a rfe on my wife case but attorney received rfe letter which is on my name (for employement letter and 3 months pay stubs).
When I called IIO , she said same rfe for both they did not update system properly .
when I check online message today , they updated mine saying that we received ur repsonse on 01/10/03 ...... and on my wife case still old message . ie. we mailed a letter for requesting additional info on Dec 19, 2002.
I dont know what to do , may be I will call them next week.
