strange thing, guys, help

hi,

I got the RFE on 04/18/05 (actually email send on 04/19/05) for both my husband and me. But later on LUD changed on 04/20/05 and said the cases were approved on 04/19/05.

What!!! What should I do? Are they approved or not? Is there something wrong with USCIS website? Hope that is true for approval and could give some others hope who also receive RFE recently.

I am still a little bit worried. If I receive both RFE notice and approval notice, what should I do? Now I think I will wait until I see the apprival notice.
 
If you receive an approval notice - go and stamp your passport ....
The problem is that you don't have the approval notice yet and
if they put the approval status by error and you don't answer RFE on time ,they will deny your 485

Do you trust the INS web site enough to take that risk :confused: ...
I'd do the following :
- wait the written approval notice . If you receive it -disregard the RFE
- when l few days will be left to the RFE deadline (and the approval still is not arriving ) - answer the RFE ...

Sounds reasonable ?

yrwp2005GC, if you worry about your case status, you can go to your local office to ask. They can check the internal database, which is more accurate than what USCIS website says.

Thanks, willgetthere2, I have to drive 5 hours to the cis office here (NC). I am wondering whether I could get accurate answer by calling toll free number.
 
It should works if you call them. Just let them know, it is urgent for you, and ask them to transfer your call to an officer. In that way, you might be able to get the answer you want. Good luck!
 
Thank you, Guys. I received the approval notice today and plan to do the PS on 05/06/05 and will update it. I called my lawyer on last Friday and she hasn't received the RFE at that time. Hope there is really no RFE.
