strange request from INS

Dear all:

I submitted I140/I485(EB1-OR)in January (ND 2/4/03) and just received a notice asking for
(1) reference letters from experts in the fields
(2) an offer of employment
(3) proof of 3 years of research experience.

However, all of those were included in the original petition.

Do any of you have similar experience? What should I do now?

Texas. A friend of mine got approval in 6 weeks(amazingly fast). another one 4 months. but some are still waiting after 8 months.
