Strange: New LUD in our I-485 applications approved 5+ years ago

I filed N-400 on 07/28/2009 and finished FP on 08/25/2009. Then my I-485 LUD changed on 09/27/2009. Then NBC mailed Yellow check list on 09/28/09 and I received it on 10/02/09 but no IL until this minute. Don't know what's going on. Does anybody know if the delay in N-400 update for IL depends on the DO? I come under Chicago DO.

Did you change your employer since you got your I-485 approved ?, May be they are checking to see if employer reported on N-400 same as on I-485 approval

I have never heard or saw NBC delaying interview scheduling because an applicant switched employer after GC. That issues comes up during interview, if at all it is an issue. If you read NBC role at USCIS.gov, you will understand that they just do preliminary work like accepting cases, entering in the system, conducting background checks and then transfer it to local DO for final adjudication. I received the check list and it doesn't ask for any employer letter. Anyway, I have a valid reason to leave my GC employer at that time. Unless they schedule an interview, how can they hear my explanation?
