Strange fingerprint request, please help!!!

On the ins web page it has been saying the following for a nine month, but we just received another fingerprint notice arranged on Oct. What is going on and what should we do? Please response your comments!!!!!!

"On January 14, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made."
 
Mar. case wac02-120xxx

Ours are mar. 02 cases. dependent received REF and response received on sep. 10, 04. But primary received 3rd fingerprint notice.

Here is the primary's story. Lawyer set 1 and 2 level inquries without anwser, but ins web updated to the strange message saying on feb xx, 04 we respond your request xxxxx. then lawyer called lawyer line and was told primary's fingerprint was not updated and they will notify the officer who has the file. The next day the message changed to original message 'fingerprint received'. by the way, the primary also called 1-800 line on aug 19, 04.

primary LUD is 9/7 9/8 9/9.
