Strange- 2RFE before 1st RFE not yet replied.

Hi

I got RFE on 6/2/2004 on my 140 for company's ability to pay. Since the tax returns show losses my company is getting the annual reports and we have not yer replied to the query. But on 8/4/2004 I logged to check on my wigfe's EAD application I saw a change on my 140 and it says we mailed u a notice on 8/3/2004 requesting for addiotional evidence or information.

Anyone gone thru this? Any clues what/why would they send RFE without getting the reply of 1st RFE?

I see two probable reasons for this.

1. The online system is incorrect.

2. You are dealing with an inexperienced officer who did not fully complete the RFE, realized it after it was sent, and issued another RFE to request material that should have been requested in the first RFE.
 
Thanks Jim.Just outr of curiosity.. I filed my 485 after 1st RFE. Would that generate any query on 140? The LUP have been like this..
LUD 6/2/2004 when 1st query was sent.
LUD 7/8/04 when 148 application was received
LUd 7/27/04 Message remailed same as that of 1st RFE
LUD 8/4/04 Message says RFE sent..

Would 485 generate query on 140
