Strange – 140 RFE Status change.

My attorney mailed response to RFE on 03/23/2005.

On 03/25/05 my status changed as follows and I received email notification.

“On March 25, 2005, we received your response to our request for
evidence or information. It is taking between 400 and 450 days for us to
process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was
complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated
in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.”


Then LUD got changed on 03/28/05, 03/29/05, 03/30/05. No change on status.


Today (04/07/05) LUD got changed and also Status message got changed as follows. But no email notification

“On April 7, 2005, we received your response to our request for
evidence or information. It is taking between 400 and 450 days for us to
process this kind of case. However because preliminary processing was
complete, the remaining processing time will be less than the maximum stated
in this message. You will receive a written decision on this case.”


I don’t know why my status changed 2 time with same Response received status.

Any one has experience with this king of Status message changes.

Do not worry about the message changing twice. The online system is pretty weird. It might be a mistake or even an approval.

It might be some additional updates within the USCIS, these updates are kind of logs if they perform any updates within. LUD on my 485 case changes everyday as is in your 140 case, its been 2 months it still changes everyday. I stopped worrying about it, all we can do is pray for the best and be positive.

I wouldn't worry much. My EAD got approved on 3rd March but again status message changed to approved on 9th..... This is common with USCIS.

You are correct, looks like this status message and LUD changes some times does not make sense.
Today (04/08/05) my LUD got changed without status change.
