Please stop advertising for Approved Labor or any such deals.

It creates very difficult situations for people who are awaiting their labor to get approved for a long time.

Many people think that it is easy to substitute labor, but they are not aware of huge fees asked by sponsering employer.
They are also not aware of hidden consequences, legal restrictions and any other issues with it.

Try to give some good information about labor processing guidelines, hints, etc. But, these type of lucrative offers, will just create more trouble and will not solve anything.

Thanks,

Raising People's Concern

Nope, It did not happen with me.

But, there are many forums and questions on this website, where poeple have suffered for substitutions.

To check further, I personally called few people who where offfering 'approved labor' and they asked for many terms/conditions.

Anyways, just thought of raising people's concern, before getting into such deals.

Thanks.

the major question in labor substitutions is why did the prior employee leave? was he fired in layoffs? in this economy it is very unlikely of a foreign employee to leave a company that too when his labor is certified...

Don't go for the approved labor until it is your last resort.

These companies exploit the situation and make enormous profit but still you can't be sure of what they will do.

They can be taken to labor court for such activities. I know of companies which shut down because they were taken to court.

I got an email this week from a person who wanted information on how to proceed. He joined a company based on having an approved LC for substitution.

Now he is being told that the company does not really have an approve LC available for him.

Oh well. I'm sure he brought a customer contract with him also (although he did not tell me that).

If something seems too good to be true, it probably is.

Another note.

Bringing a customer with you can trigger a lawsuit against you and the new employer. I've seen it happen.

active again

I think advertising for "Approved Labor" has again picked up.

People, be careful about such deals.

As mentioned before, these deals have many hidden costs and contracts attached. Also, labor substitution is not that easy. Check comments above.

Watch out !
