We had a 2nd interview for marriage based AOS on Aug 2007.Our first interview was in Aug 2006,the IO dint ask many questions but we answered correctly for question he asked,he told that he has to review the case and let us know.We received a letter for the 2 interview.
During the 2nd interview we were questioned separately,at the end of the interview the IO said that he is going to approve the case pending submition of documents.I was supprised as i had all the documents and he had not even looked into it or asked for it.so I asked him what documents he wants,then he said to give all the documents which i have and he is going to look into it and send a letter if he needs any more documents.He told me he has one more case to attend to today and he is late and he wont be able to look into the documents.So he told he is going to send a letter and we can come again to the Immigration office and we can close the case.
Has any one been in the same position.It has been 3 weeks and i havent heard any thing from him and my online status has not changed .

Sorry to hear that temp. I hope you will hear something soon from them. what is your evidence included like joint checking, joint insurance...etc..? It's seems the officer wasn't too happy with the evidence or he is having a bad day.

We had all the documents including Joint accounts(checking,savings,Credit cards),5 marriage albums and DVDs,photos of both of us with our parents and our relatives,photos of her parents staying with us when they came to vist us from our home country,house lease papers,health insurance,utility bills,tickets when we traveled together to our home country and a lot more.
We both are from the same back ground in education and also from the same country.The IO was happy with our answers as we had answered all the questions right,he told us that he is going to approve the case pending submition of documents,the documents which i have no idea of as i had all the documents.The only thing I am worried is what if he takes a lot of time to send us a letter as we are planning to go to our home country soon to attend the family wedding and we already have the vacation approved.
He mentioned that the people who had an interview before us had come late as on that day there was a lot of rain in NYC and most of the subway trains were not running,so he got late and he had one more couple to interview after us and he was basicly forcing us to leave.

That is scary...despite having all the documents. Find out if your name check is cleared. I would make an info pass appointment if I don't hear back from them. You can schedule an online appointment at www.uscis.gov

They really can't denny u guys Gc after stokes interview.. all they can do is delay it to see if the marriage is real and then they might threaten the USC to close the case if he thinks in anyway that themarriage is not real so that he will not have to go to jail...lol..
but what ever the case is stand to your words send what ever documents they need in the mail and you will get your GC.
 
We were interviewed saparately,each of us for about 15 to 20 mins.He asked us if we had a lawyer,which we dint.He said the lawyer for the Interview is just waste of money as he has to just sit and cant answer any questions.
The questions which were asked were similar to the one in the link which i have pasted here.Apart from this the only other questions which he asked were about our old apt description as we had moved into a different place recently,clothes we were wearing the previous night.I hope this helps.Good Luck
