Hi,

My forms i-130 and 485 were filed at the beggining of Februaury and nothing has been sent back as of yet. Its been almost 3 weeks and i have seen other people with a receipt in just days? Should I be concerned or is there just a backlog in Chicago?

Anyone else in the same boat? Or anyone who has had a receipt in the last few weeks, what was the date you sent the forms in?

Regards,

Hi,
I am in same boat. I mailed 2 weeks back with no notice. Do you happen to know how we can track whether Money Order is cashed by USICS or not.

My husband and filed on January 23rd, 2007 with the Dallas program and have not gotten anything yet. After not hearing from them in three weeks I made an infopass and went to inquire. Just to learn that they had lost my file. Yes, I was pissed and made a big sting. I spoke to the manager who then assured me that they would investigate. Friday February 16th they found my file and cashed my money orders for I-485 and the rest of the forms.

Be on them. Don't believe a thing they say. If one immigration officer tells you something you are not happy with go to another. I made about 4 infopasses and boy did I not go in there again and again. As foolish as this sounds it worked for me. Now they are so on top of it.

Good Luck!

Hi, i submitted I130/I131/I485 all in one envelope to Chicago Lockbox on 2/5/7 via USPS priority with proof of delivery. The pkg was delivered 2/7/7 and NOAs issued on 2/15/7 for all of them. I sent in a personal check, thus i was able to see when the check cleared my bank account. Also, on the back of the check were the case #s for each (off by 2-3 digits). Hope this helps.

Updated: Note this the app sent on 2/5/7 was for my parent. My signature does not reflect this yet.

You can find your case number in the back of your cashed check. If you try that in the uscis web site will come up. Though from my experience my case # was 1 or 2 numbers higher. If your MSC # in the cashed check ends with let's say 10, your real MSC # ends with 12 or 13. Check it on line and it will give your status.
Peace out.

darn i used a us postial money order, and there's not way until you go through a process to see if those money orders are cashed. I mail in I485. I485A,I765, ON 2/10/07 EXPRESS mail, they recieved it on 2/13/07 and i still haven't heard anything from them. My eyes are glude to the mail box, I hope I don't have to wait long.

i guess that i'm just being cheap, i thought that i could just call the post office ask get an answer...instead of filling out a form and paying a fee.

I got my receipt yesterday.

RD: 02/16/07
ND: 02/23/07

My local USICS office is washington DC. Is there anyone with similar timelines.

2/10/07 mailed i765,i485,i485a to chicago
2/13/07 package recieved
2/20/07 NOA1
2/26/07 notice for biometrics
3/5/07 biometric appointment letter
so far so good, giving praise all the way.

Hmmm... I've tried that and it doesn't seem to work. Then again, my checks were cashed only yesterday, so maybe they're not in the system yet. Is that possible?

As you suggested, I did try some variations with higher numbers too...
