steps for CP

Hi All

I am new to the process and I am expecting I140 approval anytime soon

I opted for CP while applying for I140

Please someone tell me steps for CP after I140 approval

from what I know INS sends the application to NVC and NVC sends it to US Consulate in India and then US consulate in India gives interview date.

Is that correct or I am missing something.

Also any idea how long each process takes and how much total time it might take from I140 approval to CP interview?

Search and check out one of my earlier posts where in I have explained in detail the whole process including the approximate time frames for each step.

If you cant get the thread, let me know.

I got my I140 approved .. finally .. and also when I called NVC number .. they received my file and generated a case number for me at NVC .. is there anyway I can follow my case at NVC ?
 
Medical

Thanks Sada.

I was planning to shift to 485 so I did my medical here in USA last week.

I have not yet filed for 485 and today the NVC case was created.

Just in case I contonue with CP .. can I use the medical for CP or do I need to do seperate medical in India?

In the reply Sada said that the fee bill is either sent to Lawyer or to applicant.

Is there any way I can find what will happen in my case ?

Do they decide on Random whom to send the Fee bill?

Any general rules they follow?

If you have a lawyer who has filed your petition, the fee bill will be sent to your lawyer, else you will get the fee bill.
 
Does the CP interview date depends on PD?

or they give the interview date based on when they receive information from USA?
