What are next steps after Naturalization.

1) Update the Employer of the Citizenship status.
2) Inform Social Security.
3) Take a Photo Copy of the Naturalization certificate
4) Apply for US Passport.

Did I miss any Steps, Please advice?

/Thanks

I got my gc ten years ago. My SSN card still has "not valid without employment authorization" but didnt inform or contact SSN department. Is that a problem? i will update as soon as becoming USC soon (i hope)

Not a problem. Once you get your USC just let them know and they will update their records and send you a new card.

There may not be any personal urgency for you to get a standard SS card, however, it's my understanding that anyone who has obtained a GC can get a replacment SS card that does not state "not vaild for employment," as soon as the GC is received. Naturalization is not a requirement to obtain the SS card, unless that has changed since 8 years ago. You can inquire with SS directly if there is a question.

Will I be issued new SSN if I inform SSA that I am a citizen now?
I really want to preserve the old #, because of all the accounts, property connected to it.
How to inform SSA? I went through their site, there is no option to do it online or by mail. Go to their office then?

Your SSN will not change - they just reprint the card without the restriction on it.

In my experience, when I was issued a new SS card after obtaining a GC, the SS Administration kept the same number.

Vishnu,
These are the steps I took after my US naturalisation:-

(1) Visited my local SSA office and informed them of my becoming a US citizen
(2) Registered to vote with my local county officials
(3) Updated my employer with a new I-9
(4) Applied for a US passport
(5) Called the Canadian consulate in Chicago and updated their database
(6) Called the Pakistani consulate in Chicago and updated their database

Steps (5) and (6) were for my convenience only since I am registered with both consulates as their citizen living in their consular jurisdiction. Helps with periodic consular services, and at times, invitations to national day celebrations :)
