Hi,

I had done concurrent filing of I-140 and I-485 (for myself, spouse and child) in June 2005. My I-140 was approved in November 2005. On 02/06/06 I received the approval notice (approval date: 02/03/06) for my child. When I called the customer service number, I got the message that my wife's and my I-485 applications were approved on 02/01/06. I haven't received them yet.

Is this normal or should be a matter of concern?
What is the next step in GC process? Do we have to go for an interview before we get the GC's? If yes, then how should we prepare for the interview?

Thanks for your help.

Your daughter probably is younger than 15 and did not get biometrics, this is why she got the notice, so that u can take her to the center and get her photo taken and process her card... BUT for u and your wife it is taking longer because they will send you your card directly....no need for a notice, so Waite a week or so and it will be in ur wallet soon... congratulations and good luck......

Congratulations

anyone 14 or older should get finger prints, why is 15?

My daughter is 9 and 1/2. In the last week of Jan-06 we received a notice for getting her finger printing done on 02/03/06 ! We got it done.

Now we found out (from I-485 approval notice) that her I-485 was approved on 02/01/06.

first congrats.

But I am puzzled: only 14 or older should get fingerpirnts as per CIS. Why should your 9 1/2 year-old daughter get fingerprints??? Are you sure she was taking fingerprints not photo?
