I'm currently on a stem opt and my unemployment date maxes out on March-15. My spouse's H1B renewal is in progress and my H4 is also being filed along with it. The starting date specified on the petition is May-15.
Once the H4 petition is filed, can I continue to legally stay in the US between March-15 and May-15 ? And what happens if my petition is approved before May-15 ? Any thoughts would be highly appreciated. Thanks!
