staying out of US for more than 6 months .........how is that ?

This is the last reply on this thread since it seems like a deja vu 10 times over.

#1. No one can predict what the POE officer will ask and no one can predict how you will respond. For example, I can not predict how CBP officer will react when you slap him. And of course I can not be sure whether you will slap him or not. But as per quantum physics, it is all possible.

#2. What option do you have? Sometimes all you need is to get ready to face the music.

#3. No one on this board is going to give you guarantees. And no lawyer you pay to get advice is going to guarantee too. The only sure way might be to get in through some tunnels, but that brings its own share of risks and problems.

It is a game of odds. You are low risk. In fact, you are very low risk. However, in probability theory, low probability events are known to happen. That's life.

After that ... its up to you how you handle it in terms of deciding when to return, whether to return now or on SB1, whether to return at all, how to answer CBP questions, and so on...

that sounds good ...but i have a question wanna bring up to the table now ..... does anyone know cases got entry denied or problems becoz of long absences like more than 6 months but less than a year /??!?!

I don't know of anybody who lost their green card because of a single trip between 6-12 months. But some have received warnings at the port of entry or been denied citizenship because of a single trip of that length. And others have had their green card canceled because of multiple long trips like that.
