Fellow Sufferers,
As promised, here is the followup after contacting my local congressman. Firstly, please allow me to applaud the efficient and timely manner that his office handled the issue. It took them 6 days ( weekend and labour day included ) to get back to me with a case status.
The bad news is that all they could tell me was the following:
The fingerprints ( my second set ) takes about 2-3 months to clear. Immediately thereafter my case will be assigned for adjudication. I was also told to contact the office again should I not hear anything within 2-3 months.
All in all nothing to really improve or give once confidence in the efficiency of the powers that be. The flip side is that the local congressman's office does really take to the peoples needs and requirements. ( amen to that... )
