I am Atul Sharma, living in California, USA. I was working in a software company on H1B when I was laid off 3 months ago.
Since then I have been trying for new job. You know how tough the market is so I haven't found a new job yet. But I'll get one soon. I am thinking of getting H1 from these consultants who sponsor new H1 for a small fee. They hire as contractors & pay you a small salary but take it back in form of cash or personal check.
Guys I have been in this country for 3 yrs and I want to live here forever. I don't want to go back to India.
Please let me know if I can do that. I think its legal to stay on H1 trying for new job but just wanted to check with you guys.
Anyway let me know. I know INS or BLIC cann't send me back to my country.
