Staus during i-485 pending

Just a quick question...

Is it okay if someone has EAD and I-485 receipt to keep his status okay. I changed job after 180 days of I-485 filing and I am currently in Job with the same designation. H1B expired this month ..


I am from Bangladesh.. and I have to go to Special Registration...

Any suggestion please...I am okay right.

You Are fine with AOS pending (485 - pending). WHen a person is awaiting his / her 485 case.. till a decision is made on the case you are in perfect legal status in USA.

Just carry your past history along.. just in case they want to have a look..

faitas, you should be OK!

faitas, when you go for special registration, you should take with you: your passport with I-94, all EADs, I-485 receipt notice copy or original, social security card, driver's license, any credit card (or debit card) if you have one. The special registration form (that you will fill in) will ask some info like: your US address including telephone and cell number (if you have one), your Bangladesh home address, your father's and mother's current address including home and cell (if any) phone number, your current employer's name and address, it will also ask for three reference information (name, address including telephone number), this reference information may be from here USA or may be from Bangladesh but they can't be your parents' information. You should also take your rental agreement or lease agreement (if you have one) with you. Hope this helps a little bit. Also please, do not worry, everything will be fine, just be positive, take everything to cover your back and you will be fine. Wish you all the best.
