Status of Visa extension

Hi,

I am on H1B and had applied for extension after my visa expired.
Upto July 18th the status of my case on the USCIS website said that an approval notice had been mailed on July 10th.

However, on 19th July, the status changed to "amended notice on this case has been mailed on 19th July".

Could anyone please help me out here - why did the status change?

Do not get panic.

First find out from your attorney , what papers did he get so far from USCIS?
If any amendments needed it can be done.
