Status of FP after RFE recd. by TSC

Hi All,

My wife did FP on April 12, 2003 and it will expire on July 12, 2004.

She received an RFE for medical and the response to the RFE was received by TSC on April 27, 2004. We have not seen any update to her status so far (after 3 weeks).

Would her FP expire on July 12, 2004 ?

Since the case has been taken up already and RFE was issued, would it mean that the FP would be valid till it is adjudicated ?

Hello gc_ckr:

It looks like she may be very close to approval. As a matter of principle you can get a case status referral after 2 months of no response on RFE. Sometimes they may not update the status if approval is very close.

My RFE was received by TSC in 3/2004 and status updated. subsequently 2nd fp done and status never updated. finally approved 5/2004.

By the way how do you check the status of your plastic card-like card ordered, mailed etc-is it the same online status we use for checking I-485?

Thanks for the info.

After passport stamping, I was checking online status inquiry and got
the status of plastic card at every stage.
