I had my FP given at early Feb 2002, calling FBI and got to know they have the result sent back to INS two days after my FP. But the AVM and the current on-line status still the same as I received my FP notice.
"we mailed a notice requesting that you appear for fingerprint recording. The notice also gave the times and location where this processing could be done. If 14 days have passed and you have not received this notice, you may wish to verify or update your address. To update your address, please speak to a Customer Service Representative during business hours. "
I called IIO and she said the FP result has been received, how come the AVM has never been updated?
Is there anybody on the same boat?

you are not the only one

A coworker of mine is in the same boat as you are. He did his FP in February, and his AVM never changed. He spoke with IIO this week and was told that the FPs were okay and that they should approve his petition within a month or so.

hope it helps,

- Dom

same here

wac-01-296 fp done on 4/12 @ San Jose.
Did you guys call the IIO ? I had a weird
response when I called them. They told
me that my file has been relocated to
NRC. My attorney does not want to fax
until 30 days are past the JIT date. So,
I guess I will have to wait for another
couple of months before I can have my
file moved...

Well i am also in same boat, Actually i given my FP on last week of FEB until then myself & my wife message never got changed. Hope it will not slow down for approval because i know some cases got approved with out changing any message until its approved.

Status changed today!!!

Hi youngX,
I saw your thread today and felt that I was also in the same boat. Just thought of calling INS. To my surprise they picked up and the IIO said that my (and wife's) FP results were received on Aug 7th and that everything was fine and that it will take 6-8 months for GC approval (but the darn AVM has'nt just been updated for some time).

Also, one more good news was that our EAD petitions have been assigned to officers on Sept. 26th and the IIO said I should expect the card in 3-4 weeks if not earlier as he said there were internal audit going on as of now.

FYI my RD details are:
ND: 07/10/02
RD: 07/10/02
FP ordered date: 8/01/02
FP notice received: 08/07/02
FP scheduled date: 08/23/02
FP done: 08/08/02
AP approval: 08/10/02
