Dear friends, Could you please give me some advice? During the process of AOS (EB1-EA, ND 4/23/01), can I stay in US without other visa. My current visa will expire in August, and I don\'t want to stay in my company who sponse my current visa. Is it ok If I don\'t apply a new visa like H-1 after August, and just hold my I-485 receipt? I appreciate your opinion.

As long as your AOS is pending, you are in status and you don\'t need any other visa. For travel you need AP, for work you need EAD.

But if you switch companies before 180 days have not passed since you filed for 485,then you have to file I-485 again.
