Status change on I140 after approval: "The document we made based on the approval..."

My I-140 was approved 3 weeks ago. We have not received the approval notice yet. The lawyer has sent the Adjustment of Status document pack about a week ago, and today the status of the I-140 has changed to:

"On August 26, 2004, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

I have searched and seen that people have received this status message for their I-485, AP and EADs, but not for I-140 after approval.

Does anyone has an idea what does it mean?

greenercard,

It appears that your I-140 has been approved. Ask your lawyer to followup with USCIS for approval notice. Please post your RD, EB Category, AD so that other people can guess about approvals coming through.

This is one of the approvals in past 6 months.

Thanks,
-Honeybee

Yes, according to the online status it was already approved three weeks ago. I just wonder why would a case status change after approval.

I speculate that it has something to do with the filing of the 485/EAD/AP 10 days ago.

FYI, the original approval notice was received. It was delayed because we have changed an attorney in the process and the original attorney received the notice. I'll post again with any news...

My case is some thing different.

On Sep 21, there is message is saying that they sent a document requesting for additional information.

Now on Oct 5th..

"On October 05, 2004, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued."

So for my lawyer has not received any thing nor my employer also..I am worried...

Could be address issue

Hi CRMG!

Looks like it is an address issue. Chances are your RFE could not be delivered to the address on file and that is why the second message showed up.

I am just guessing and would suggest not to waste time for RFE reply and call USCIS to find out what is the issue. In my case the second message "The document we made.." was shown after the approval message. We got the original I-140 approval and I am assuming that some address issue with courtsey copy of I-140..
