Status change from EAD-question

I have applied for I-140 and still waiting on a decision. I am on H1 and my wife is using her EAD, my questions are:

If my I-140 doesn't go through how difficult will it be to get back my wife on H4 and
What are the ways I can change her status to H4 from EAD.
