Status after filing for 7th Year extension

Gurus,

My 6 Years on H1 will be up by Nov 15 2005. My Labor was applied in Oct2004 and filed for my 7th Year extension this week(Oct 2005). The question I have is what would be my status after Nov 15th if the 7th Year extension does not come through by then. Will I be in legal status, since I have the receipt number? Is it advisable to go for Premium processing?

Once you applied your 7th year extn based on pending LC on time ( before expiry of your old h1 ) , you are continue to be in H1 status until your h1 is approved.
