I would really appreciate for the answer.

With Asylee status, am I eligible for the State's (at university) job as the full time employee, given that my i-485 is in the process and I am holding the work permit?

Thanks

Yes!!

Definetively........ if you qualify to all other requirements ,Asylee status will not makw you uneligible. As an asylee you are basically a LPR in such matter. Only jobs we do not qualify as an asyless or LPR are most government enforcement agencies such as police departments and all that....

Good luck with the new job.

Regards.

The only requirement for state job is a work authorization. I was also thinking about job with the state Revenue Center but then got employed with the private company :)

You can work at pretty much any job except federal government which requires U.S. Citizenship.
I work for government and have no problem.

Good luck!

You are fine except for certain classes of "sensitive jobs" as determined by each state. For example, in Georgia citizenship is required to become a driver's license examiner.
