Starting the Process - Employment-based GC but married to US Citizen for 3+ years

Hi all,

I tried searching but could not find a thread with this topic.

I received my GC through employment (H1B to GC); but my wife is a US Citizen by birth and we just celebrated our third anniversary. Am I eligible to apply to apply for Citizenship based upon my marriage or should I wait until it's been 5 years since getting my GC?

Also, is there a good link/thread that addresses what needs to be done to start up the process and an overall overview.

Thanks!

In order to be eligible for marriage-based naturalization, you must be married to a USC for 3 years, as well as be a permanent resident for 3 years. If you've already had your GC for 3 years, you are eligible to apply right now.
