Hi,
Looking for info on where to start on applying for green card.
I am an American citizen and have been living in germany for almost seven years. I met a german, we have two children(4/5) and third on it´s way. We got married on Dec.22 2003 in Minnesota. Now we would like to move to minnesota where I am from. What papers do we need? I found info that says it could take only two months. Could that be possible? At the time we got married we tried to start the application process and he did his medical examination then. it costed over 200$ the envelope is still sealed can these papers still be used even though it was done in april of 2004?
Thanks all for the help ind info. -em-

Thank you. I believe this site could be of help. My husband would be the one that we would be applying for. What about the medical exam that he did in minnesota in 2004? Are these papers still good to use?
And as for our children, am I correct about the fact that they become automatic citizenship? I just need to get thier birthcertificates translated. I believe. Thanks for your help! :) -em-

Sadly not, the medical is only valid for 1 year. Where you originally planning on staying in Minnesota then, and getting your husband a Green Card?

Yes, they are US citizens due to the fact that their mother is a US citizen, so they do not need Green Cards to enter the USA.

Forms G-325A need to be filled out from me and my husband, correct? The question is now: do we pay the filing fee for one or for two? Because he is the only one requiring a Green Card. That is a point that I get stuck at. Another Q. is: in the instructions for filing an alien petition it says in
step #6- any document presented to DHS that is not in English MUST have a COMPLETE translation in to the English language. The person that completes the translation must list his/her name ane indicate he/she is fluent in both the English and foreign language and that the translation is complete and accurate.
Does this mean I or someone that I know can translate these papers, corectly of course, and sign them and they don´t necessarily need to be sent in for translation for the costs?
THanks for your time! -em-
