Starting business

I want to start a business from which i will not be takling any paystubs. I will be having only profit or loss on it. Currently i am working with softwere firm and on H1. I will cbe continueing my same status and will be having my paystub from my current employer only.

Can I start a business? it is like investing a money in share stocks.

Please advise me.

thanks for quick reply,
I have one doubt, how it is concidered that someone is working for his company or no?
Is there a way that INS can find that whether a person is working on his compnay or no? If I am buying stocks would it be concidered in business ?
