Hi All,
Had plans to start a company of my own to do independant consulting 6 months ago. Then decided to wait until my GC approval. Got my GC approved. Now here is my situation.
I live and work in one state and also have another apartment in a different state (as I decided to maintain for my GC purposes) which I was planning to use for registering the company. Now having the GC, not sure about which address to use as both the addresses are temporary for now.
1. Will it be a good idea to start the company in Delaware with a regsitered
agent and later on if necessary could be moved to my residential office?
2. Which would be more benefitial, being on 1099 or billing thru own company?
Folks can you give me some ideas/numbers as I need to decide on that
asap.
3. Both LLC & S-corps are exempted from double taxation. Generally people
say all money generated by S-corp need not be shown in expenses
(Salary, office exp etc..) and a part can be withheld and taken out later
as dividends.......if that is benefitial over LLC....then LLC won't exist!
On the other hand, besides extra liability coverage what are the pro's &
con's of LLC and S-corp.
Folks...please advise!
Thanks....
