I am planning to go to Newark to get my passport stamped.
Can anyone from NJ who's already gone through this tell me how I could reach there (Broad Street, Newark) without having to drive there? How far is it from Newark Penn Station? I was wondering maybe I could take a cab from there?

I did a search and found that it is a short 5$ cab-ride from Newark Penn Station.
 
stamping experience today

I had no problem reaching the place in Broad Street. I took my time and reached there at 10 AM. There were nearly 50 people ahead of me so there was no option but to wait inside the waiting room until my number was called. I specifically asked the person behind the counter to send the card to my new address (gave him the new address) which is not yet registered in their database despite having sent AR-11 more that a month ago.
Then I had to wait until they completed my background check. My name was called and then my passport was stamped. I walked over to Social Security Administration which was right next door and applied for a new social security card (without the "Valid for work only with INS authorization" wording). I walked out of the building at 2:30PM. End of story. Good luck to everyone.
