Stamping Question

I am expecting my approval notice .
My GC got approved as per the AVM 0n July 02.

Can any one tell about the time it takes to get the approval
notice ?

When i get the notice , can i go for stamping immediately?

I am planning to go on vacation by month end
(27th ) . Is it feasible to complete before that ?

I live in Omaha ,Nebraska.

I assume that you belong to CSC....I live in California and I received it in two days from the day it was mailed........But it was mailed only after a day AVM said my case was approved.....So you can expect to receive it in 5-7 days from the date it was approved....About stamping I dunno about your INS office but here in the bay area you can go for stamping on any working day immediatly after receiving the approval notice.....Anyways, I'm sure you would be able to stamp it before the 27th....good luck and congratulations!!!
