Dear Friends

I am going for stamping in a few hours at Philadelphia. I really wouldn't like to bring my EAD. I might change jobs soon, and they'll probably like to see my EAD. Can I leave it at home ? The approval letter they sent me only asks me to bring the passport, I94 and the two photos

Please give me your advice as soon as possible if you can

Very many thanks in advance,

I just found this:
http://www.murthy.com/news/UDscpass.html

Ordinarily, individuals receive "temporary evidence" stamps in their passports after obtaining approval of their I-485 applications. Approval of the I-485 grants the individual permanent resident status. In order to have proof of that status prior to arrival of the actual, plastic "green card," individuals get "temporary evidence" stamps in their passports. This stamp suffices as proof of permanent residence for all purposes, including work and travel.

Does this mean I shouldn't worry because I can use my stamped passport as proof of eligibility to work ? I am thinking I should bring a box I have with all my paperwork and let them pick whatever they need, what the hell

Thank you !

Documents for stamping

I recently did my stamping. I carried only the documents mentioned in the approval letter alongwith my passport. I had my photos from an angle. However in INS office, I got new set of photos (regular front looking types) for $13 from a non-profit making organization.

I also had to take infopass appointment. The process was easy and did not take more than 15 minutes, but the wait time was more due to other types of processing activities (even after having an appointment).

Good luck to you.
